For those of you who don't know what Rebel Retreat is, it is when a bunch of high school kids from around the state come down and get to scope out the college life for a night! This time around we ate Pasta Factory for dinner, went to Battle of the Sexes on campus, and then went to a HUGE bonfire that night! We ended up at the gym for the rest of the night. People played basketball, volleyball, air hockey, pool, ping pong, the wii, etc. Most people didn't go to bed until about 2:00 am or later. The next morning there was breakfast and a little presentation by our recruiters talking a little bit more about Dixie. Then there was a tour for any of the students who wanted to stick around. It's definitely worth the drive to come down.
I am from Ivins, Utah (a suburb about 15 minutes out of St. George) and I Graduated from Dixie High School in 2006. Both of my parents (along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends) attended Dixie, so growing up, I knew where I was going to come here as well!
DSC was right here in my hometown, so I could live at home my first semester, save money, & also LIVE UP the College Life! I Moved out the summer after my 2nd year at College and was close enough to home that it was convieniant, but far enough that I could be independant and live with my College Friends!
I am currently in my 3rd year at Dixie, and am majoring in Dental Hygiene! I will be finished with all of my Pre-Requisit classes after this Semester...so the next step, is APPLYING to our TOP NATIONALLY RANKED Dental Hygiene Program! It's an incredible Program :) I've been fortunate to be an Ambassador for DSC throughout my college career, and have made friendships that I'll honestly have throughout the rest of my life! I love Dixie State...and I couldn't Imagine being anywhere else! GO REBS!!!
